The hydroforming Process
This involves uses a high-pressure fluid (up to 1200 bar) to shape the stainless-steel volute of this pump. As a result, water, with increasing pressure pushes the stainless steel to mimic the shapes of the pump mould until it comes into contact with the internal walls of the matrix that forms the mould. Therefore, such fabrication, which combines the power of a traditional press with the force of water, has significant advantages over traditional pump fabrication processes.
