Borehole water pump – Key Facts:

Firstly, the WILO multistage borehole water pumps, have radial or semi-axial impellers as well as a shrouded design. Secondly, they have integrated non-return valves to help you prevent long startup pumping times and potential damage to the pump set. Lastly, be assured that all parts that come into contact with the fluid are made from corrosion-resistant materials which will ensure that your pump lasts longer.

Wilo Motor (This must be bought separately and does not come with the pump) 

It is useful to note that the units on these pumps are rewindable, corrosion-resistant single or three-phase current motors for direct starting. Sealed using a mechanical seal with self-lubricating bearings with oil filling because this is a tried and tested sealing procedure. In other words, you can choose either a single-phase (230V) or a three-phase option (380v) which is useful depending on your power supply on-site.

Cooling and Cautions

During operation, you will appreciate that this unit is fluid-cooled which is imperative for all borehole pumps, hence your pump set must always be immersed when operated. The limit value for the maximum fluid temperature may not be exceeded because this may cause damage to the unit. Moreover, the limit value for the minimum volume flow may not be exceeded because this will strain the pump unnecessarily. It is critical to note, that vertical installation is possible with or without a cooling shroud, but a cooling shroud is required for horizontal installation.
