A GLOBAL HERITAGE
Franklin Electric SA, was founded in Indiana, USA, in 1944, and it revolutionised water pumping with the first submersible electric motor in 1950.
Franklin Electric established its South African subsidiary in Johannesburg in 1972. They quickly became the leading supplier of submersible borehole pump motors and water pumping systems in Southern Africa, with approximately 1.2 million 4-inch motors sold by 2016.
